Within the framework of the 153rd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Aleksanyan, met on October 7 with the head of the delegation of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Belgium, Karl Vanlouwe, and members of the delegation. The meeting was attended by members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, including members of the NA delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Tsovinar Vardanyan and Hasmik Hakobyan.

 

During the meeting, issues related to bilateral relations and parliamentary cooperation between Armenia and Belgium were discussed. The parties emphasized the further development and deepening of the cooperation established between the parliaments of the two countries, highlighting the importance of activating inter-parliamentary dialogue and regular communications on mutually interesting issues.

 

Attention was drawn to Armenia-European Union relations, particularly the visa liberalization process. Issues related to the parliamentary elections held in Armenia were also discussed.

 

The continuity of mutual visits and high-level communications was emphasized as an important component for strengthening bilateral relations and deepening parliamentary cooperation.
